Duravit Americas President & CEO Robert Downie Joins Plumbing Manufacturers International Strategic Advisory Council

Duravit is pleased to announce that Robert (Bob) Downie, President & CEO of Duravit Americas, has been appointed to the Plumbing Manufacturers International Strategic Advisory Counsel (PMI-SAC) by the International Board of Directors. This remarkable achievement highlights Downie’s outstanding leadership, vision and commitment to the plumbing industry. Since joining Duravit in 2022, Downie has provided strategic leadership for Duravit Americas, overseeing the planning, development, and execution of key functions, including marketing, with a strong emphasis on impactful brand initiatives, enhanced customer support, and relationship building across the US and Canada. Additionally, Downie is responsible for leading sales, operations, and finance for the American markets.
In this new appointment, Downie will work collaboratively with the PMI Board of Directors. The Strategic Advisory Council’s primary responsibilities include contributing to the strategic development of the association’s advocacy agenda and outreach, participating in the annual strategic plan review process, and providing ongoing support and mentorship as independent voices from across the plumbing industry.
