The basic ceramic mass consists of the natural raw materials clay, kaolin, quartz and feldspar. Quartz, chalk, feldspar and the mineral stone dolomite are mixed to make the glaze. The extreme high temperature resistance allows a firing temperature of approx. 1280°C. This results in a very high level of hardness, which is particularly advantageous in public sanitary facilities. The hygienically smooth surface glaze is wear and scratch-resistant, easy to clean and thus ideal for the use in the health sector. Sanitary ceramic is skin friendly as well as heat and fade resistant. The WonderGliss surface finish keeps washbasins, toilets and bidets attractive and clean for a long time and is made exclusively from raw materials that are not harmful.

Wood is comfortable, elegant and easy to clean. Warm wood tones are increasingly becoming more popular in the bathroom. With vanity units and wooden panels, the washbasin and bathtub themselves become pieces of furniture. They are complemented by wall cabinets, wall-mounted shelves and mobile storage units, creating an integral concept that includes and brings together all conceivable aspects of the bathroom. Respectively, Duravit offers a variety of real-wood veneers and additionally lacquer and décor surfaces. Bathroom furniture is manufactured specifically for the use in moist environments and is resistant to splash water and increased humidity. The edges are PVC-free and water resistant. The surfaces are sealed diligently, making them water-repellent.

The advantage of acrylic is its warm, pore-free and smooth surface. It is pleasant to the touch and the user immediately feels at ease. With its white shimmering gleam, the material harmonizes with all of the other ceramic objects in the bathroom and ensures continuity of design.
