Dear Duravit Reseller,

As you may be aware, California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, more commonly known as “Proposition 65,” requires clear and reasonable warnings for products containing chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and/or reproductive harm.

Products sold by Duravit may contain listed chemicals in quantities smaller than those triggering the duty to warn under Proposition 65, or not at all, and we have made no determination that Duravit products require warning labels under Proposition 65. However, we have chosen to provide warnings on all of our products out of an abundance of caution. 

As such, all Duravit products will hereafter be labeled as follows:

It is the responsibility of manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and retailers to provide consumers with a clear and reasonable warning of the potential exposure at or before the time of purchase. Warning labels must be placed on product boxes. Duravit will place labels on product boxes as we ship to the market. In addition, there is the need to place labels on inventory that is currently in the California market. To receive the above labels directly from Duravit please contact info@us.duravit.com, please include quantity of labels with company name and contact information.

Because Proposition 65 requires warnings for internet and catalog purchases to be provided at the point of purchase, we are also requesting that you provide this warning language to California customers who purchase Duravit products directly from your website or catalog in a manner consistent with Proposition 65.
